Maverick politician, Kennedy Agyapong has claimed that the electoral commissioner, Charlotte Osei, is being protected against impeachment by some men at the Flagstaff House.

The member of parliament for Assin Central believes that these men are also making everything possible to prevent the embattled EC chair from being investigated by the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO).

These wild allegations by Kennedy Agyapong follow the stand-off the Electoral Commission (EC) where armed police officials stormed the office of a deputy electoral commissioner to get her out of office so investigations can begin.

“I can show you a text message from a lawyer handling this case. He’s so frustrated because young boys from Flagstaff House are protecting Charlotte Osei. I don’t know whether they sleep with her,” he flared in an interview with Adom FM.

Meanwhile, president of the republic, Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo is expected to raise these issues as well as clarify matters involving investigations of all three electoral commissioners in a meet the press series where he will engage journalists on progress made in his first year in office.
